Incident Description: A student was walking near Clarke Tower when he was approached from behind by a male on a bicycle who snatched a cell phone out of the student's hand and fled the scene. The student was not injured.
Suspect Description: A black male 18-25 yrs old, thin build, wearing white tennis shoes and a blue hooded sweatshirt with light colored stripes on the shoulders.

Location of Incident: RTA bus shelter on the south side of Euclid Avenue between Adelbert Road and UH Drive.
Date of Incident: 9/17/12
Time of Incident: 1:20 p.m
Incident Description: A male not affliated with CWRU reports being physically assaulted while standing in the RTA bus shelter on Euclid Avenue.The victim sustained facial injuries and went to the hospital for treatment. No weapons were seen.
Suspect description: A black male around 275 lbs in weight wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Location of Incident: Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard west of the Art Museum Lagoon
Date of Incident: 9/13/12
Time of Incident: 10:50 a.m
Incident Description: A student was walking on MLK Boulevard when he was approached by a male who demanded his backpack. When the student refused the suspect male grabbed the bag and emptied its contents on the ground. The suspect then picked up a laptop computer and left the scene. No weapon was seen and the student was not injured. There was a delay in the reporting of this incident.
Suspect Description: A black male around 20 years of age, 5'11 in height, heavyset in build. Suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and had short afro style hair.

Location of Incident: Near the intersection of Cedar Av & Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard
Date of Incident: Monday 9/10/2012
Time of Incident: 9 p.m
Incident Description: A student standing near the Cedar/MLK intersection was approached by a male who asked him to use his phone. When the student declined the male brandished what appeared to be a pistol in his waistband and demanded the phone. The student fled the area on foot and was not injured. There was a delay in the reporting of the incident.
Suspect Description: A black male 16-18 years of age, 5'6-5'8 in height with a thin build, wearing a a tan baseball cap and tan shorts. Last seen northbound on MLK Boulevard.

Location of incident: Fairchild & Murray Hill Roads
Date of Incident: 8/11/12
Time of Incident: Approximately 830 a.m
Incident Description: A CWRU student was walking in the area of Fairchild & Murray Hill Roads when a vehicle pulled up next to her. A female got out of the vehicle and took the students purse. The student was not injured and no weapons were seen. The vehicle drove off in an unknown direction.
Suspect Description(s): A black female described as heavyset exited the vehicle and took the purse. The driver of the car was describes as a black male, no further description available. Vehicle described as black in color.
Additional Information: Report taken by Cleveland Police Department, suspects still at large.

Location of Incident: Dennison Hall (11416 Juniper Rd.)
Date of incident: July 18, 2012
Time of Incident: 10:00 p.m.
Incident Description: While inside a practice room in Dennison Hall a student was approached by 2 juvenile males. After the males engaged the student in conversation for several minutes one of them suddenly picked the student's backpack up off the floor and both suspects ran out of the building with the backpack. As the student attempted to give chase a third male who had been waiting in the front lobby of the building moved towards the student in an aggressive manner preventing him from going further. The third male then fled north on East 115th Street along with the other two suspects.
Additional Information: The area was toured by Case Western Reserve University Police and University Circle Police. One of the suspects was apprehended north of the University campus and placed under arrest. The other two suspects were unable to be located.
Suspect Descriptions: Suspect 1 - 5'8" in height, 17-18 years old, wearing a white shirt, riding a mountain bike. Suspect 2 - 5'6" in height, 15-16 years old, wearing a blue shirt.

The following incident did not involve a CWRU student,staff or faculty member but the CWRU Police Department would like notify the campus community of the incident. This incident took place off campus.
Location of Incident: Near the intersection of Euclid Avenue & E.118th Street.
Date of Incident: 6/1/2012
Time of Incident: Around 5:50 p.m
Incident Description: A female got off a bus near Euclid Avenue and E.118th Street. She was attacked by a suspect who forced her into a nearby isolated area and sexually assaulted and stole property from her. The suspect stated he had a weapon but no weapon was seen during the assault. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
Suspect Description: A black male in his late teens around 5'5 in height and wearing a grey & blue colored hooded sweatshirt.

The following incidents took place near campus and CWRU PD would like to inform the campus community.
Location of Incident: 1581 East 118th (East 118th near NRV Field)
Time of Incident: 11:10 p.m.
Incident Description: A female not affiliated with Case Western Reserve University was walking northbound on East 118th when she was approached from behind by two males. One male remained at a distance while the second male attempted to obtain the victim’s cellular phone. When the victim refused to turn over the cell phone, the suspect produced a dark colored handgun. A struggle ensued between the victim and suspect. The suspects eventually fled from the area with the victim’s cellular phone and money.
Suspect(s) Description: The primary suspect was described as a black male, 6’2”, medium build, wearing dark clothing and armed with a dark colored handgun. The second suspect was described as a black male, shorter, dark clothing.

Additional Information: The area was toured by Case Western Reserve University Police and University Circle Police, however, the suspects could not be located. This incident is being handled by Cleveland Police.

Location of Incident #1: MLK Jr and Ambleside Dr.
Time of Incident: 9:05 a.m
Incident 1 Description: A student was walking northbound on MLK Drive when he was approached from behind by two males. The victim displayed a small bat and both suspects fled southbound.
Location of Incident #2: Cedar Rd. near Cedar Loop RTA Station
Time of Incident: 9:20 a.m
Incident 2 Description: An employee was walking northbound on Cedar Rd near the RTA train station when he was approached from behind by two males. Both males knocked the victim to the ground. The suspects took the victim's wallet and cell phone and fled southbound on Cedar Rd.
Suspect(s) Description: Neither victim could provide a detailed description of the suspects.

Incident Description: A student was walking on MLK Drive when he was knocked down from behind by two males who took property from him and fled on foot. No weapon was seen during the incident.
Suspect(s) Description: Both suspects were described as black males 19-20 years of age, around 6ft in height with slender builds and dark complexions,
wearing black t-shirts and long pants. Suspects are still at large.

Incident Description: A non CWRU student was walking on Magnolia Road when he was approached by a male who asked to use the student's phone. The male then pushed the student and took a laptop computer from him. The suspect dropped the laptop when the victim began pursuing him, the suspect then fled the scene on foot towards E.108th Street.. The victim was not injured. No weapon was seen.
Suspect Description: A black male in his 20's, around 6 feet in height and 180 lbs, with an afro type hairstyle. The male was wearing a blue sports type jacket, possibly with the Cleveland Indians logo,and dark jeans. Suspect is still at large.

Incident Description: While walking on the south side of Wade Park Avenue towards East 115th Street, a Cleveland Institute of Art student was approached by a group of 2 males riding bicycles. One of the males produced a dark colored firearm and ordered the victim to the ground. The victim complied and his property was taken by the suspects who then fled north on East 115th Street.
Suspect Descriptions: The suspects were each described as black males, 18 -20 years of age, 5'7" to 5'10" wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
Additional Information: The area was toured by Case Western Reserve University Police and University Circle Police, however, the suspects could not be located.

Time of Incident: 1:35 pm
Incident Description: Two men were walking on East Boulevard when they were approached by a male who demanded money and acted as though he had a weapon in his pocket. After recieving money the suspect fled onto Hazel Road were he got into a waiting vehicle driven by another individual, the vehicle was last seen heading towards Magnolia Drive. The victims were not injured and no weapon was seen.
Suspect Description: A black male around 18 years of age, clean shaven, wearing a dark colored tracksuit and a black skullcap. Tracksuit had red stripes on it. Suspect was seen entering a dark colored minivan.
Additional Information: Area was checked for the suspect by UCPD and CWRU PD officers with no result.

Location of Incident: In the area near the intersection between E 118th St and Wade Park Avenue
Date of Incident: April 12, 2012
Time of Incident: Afternoon and Evening
Incident Description: A student parked on East 118th Street to visit friends who lived in the area. While one individual attempted to engage him in an argument, another removed the student’s backpack from the vehicle. After police arrested one of the two individuals, a third person allegedly threatened the residents of the house the student had planned to visit. In light of the altercations, students are encouraged to use care should they choose to walk in this area (across the street from the university baseball field).
Additional Information: One of the suspects is still at large.

Date of Incident: 3/22/2012

Incident Description: A student was walking on Wade Park between Mistletoe and E.115th Street when he was approached by a male on a bike who asked for a dollar. The male on the bike followed the student briefly and then brandished a black revolver and demanded the student's valuables. After taking the items the suspect left the area on his bicycle. The student was not injured.
Suspect Description: A dark skinned black male in his late teens wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt and dark colored athletic shorts, around 5'8 in height, riding a dark colored bike.

CWRU PD would like to advise the campus community that after further investigation it has been determined there was no attempted robbery incident near Eldred Theater as was reported on 2/16/12. CWRU PD still encourages members of the campus community to use services such as shuttle buses and Safe Ride when moving around campus after dark.

Location of Incident: 11025 Magnolia Rd.
Date of incident: February 19, 2012
Time of Incident: 10 pm
Incident Description: While cutting through the property located at 11025 Magnolia, a CASE student was approached from behind by two suspects. One of the suspects brandished a silver handgun and demanded the student's belongings. After the student turned over his backpack, the suspects fled north through the backyards onto Wade Park Avenue.
Suspect Descriptions: A dark skinned black male, 20 - 25 years of age, 5 '8" to 5 '10" in height, patchy facial hair on the chin, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark boots. A second suspect was seen running from the area wearing all dark clothing.
Additional Information: The area was toured by Case Western Reserve University Police and University Circle Police, however, the suspects could not be located.

Incident Description: A female student was walking in the area of Eldred Theater when she was approached by a male who brandished a knife and demanded money. When the student showed she had no money the male grabbed and attempted to drag her. The student was able to break away and fled on foot. The student was not injured.
Suspect Description: A black male 20-30 years of age, 6'2 in height with dark skin and no facial hair. Possibly had yellow coloring in the whites of his eyes and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
Additional Information: The area was checked for the suspect by CWRU and UCPD officers without result.
